2k BDC on a 2k3 Domain

I understand there are some differences between 2k3 and 2k servers, GPO's
being one of them.

I would like to setup a 2k server as a BDC in my 2k3 Domain on my test lab
to play with my test domain.

If I was to do so, what issues could arise from having a 2k BDC on a 2k3
Domain?

and is there any way to get 2k3 server to skip the memory check? Right now,
I'm a little short on cash (Love these holidays eh?) and I only have 96 RAM.
I would like to install it on that PC and then later upgrade the memory.

There is no such thing as a BDC or PDC in W2K. All there exists is domain
controllers with or without FSMO roles. Unlike NT4, all domain controllers
in W2K+ have awritable copy of the domain's database. Don't confuse DC and
"PDC emulator" and try reading up on some of the whitepapers that will
clarify this issue:
