[2007] Unable to receive, able to send e-mail

Hi there,

I had two mailboxes in my Outlook 2003, when I upgraded to Office (and
Outlook) 2007. One on our Exchange Server, to which I only connect at work.
The other are all mails from this exchange server kept locally. So one is on
exchange, the other is a local .pst files I transfer all mails to.

Since I've installed Office 2007 Beta 2, it seems the "view" on my exchange
mailbox won't update. I see an empty inbox, while there are mails in my
exchange-inbox. I see mails in my "sent items" box, but not the latest sent
items that are actually on my exchange-sent-items-box.

I can send e-mails however! When I send a mail to myself, I can check my OWA
(Webmail) and I see my own mail arrive there. But it doesn't show in Outlook
2007.

In "Account Settings...", when I click repair and press "Next" immediatly,
when searching for settings, it times out and cannot connect to the server.

Any idea anyone?! :)

Thanks,
Dennis van der Stelt

Disable all your add-ins and try with a clean mail profile. I cannot really
get it from your post what your default delivery location is but note that
in BETA 2 you cannot have an Exchange account configured with a pst-file as
the default delivery location.

True, Default delivery location I cannot find.

But when I try "Send and Receive..." for my account on the Exchange Server,
I get an error. But no error is showing. It's just saying it cannot connect.
Whereas Outlook 2003 did not give me any problems.

I've deleted my Exchange account. I reconnected just now. It's trying to sync
the inbox folder or something, but I get this error after a very long time :

Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server - Receiving' reported error (0x80040102) :
'The requested operation cannot be performed on this account'

The inbox is still empty.

Any idea?! It definitly worked on Outlook 2003!

I have the same issue, but I believe Roady answered it for us. He said that
Oulook Beta 2 is unable to deliver Exchange based mail to a PST file as in
previous versions of outlook. I use the PST file as a lazy way of not having
to clean out my exchange mail box. My company has mailbox size limits that
are very small - so i have all my new mail go to a local pst file. It has
worked well for me in the past. Roady, my question to you: Is this only a
beta 2 limitation (it worked in Beta 1) or will this be by design for outlook
2007?

Thanks!
