2003 spontaneously switched to 2007 and I don't want it

I have a number of professional presentations saved in 2003-or so I
thought-which switched over to 2007 spontaneously. I cannot modify or utilize
them until I pay for 2007, which I do not want, and I have an important
presentation coming up and need my work accessible. Help?

Nothing switches to another format without you telling it to. If the
PowerPoint file format is now pptx or ppsx you had to do a Save As from
within Office 2007 when the trial was fully functional.

If you don't want to purchase Office 2007, uninstall it, make sure that
Office 2003 is working OK with its own file format files and then download
the compatibility pack from Microsoft, install it and then you will be able
to open the 2007 format files in 2003 programs.

If, on the other hand, when you click on a ppt file and it opens in
PowerPoint 2007 instead of 2003, again, if you uninstall the unwanted 2007
trial suite the file associations should go back to 2003 Office products.
