2000 workgroup

I have two 2000 machines connected with a crossed cable. I have set ip
adresses on both machines, 10.0.25.1 and 10.0.25.2. they are part of the same
workgroup. I can ping them. But when I try to connect to a machine thru all
networkplaces-workgroup it takes minutes before it finds it, and when trying
to access the shared folders this takes minutes. If I'm so lucky that I can
access the folder and tries to transfer a file from the other computer it
takes minutes if it all mange to transfer. Any suggestion on what that is
wrong. I've tried to install xp on one of the machines, but the same problem.

Try this:
- Start a Command Prompt on PC1.
- Type this command: ipconfig /all > c:\ip.txt
- Paste the contents of c:\ip.txt into your reply.
- Repeat the above steps for PC2.

Someone may then be able to tell you what's wrong, by looking
at the diagnostic information you post.
