Hi

I have a MSI K8N SLI Platinum board, just about to build it but have bought a 20 pin 600W PSU in error!
Anybody know if this will work or will a 24 pin be required??

Please advise

Cheers

Yes ... 24pins are required. Sorry, see if they will take it back for a 'proper' PSU.

Oh ... and before anybody sugests an 'adapter' then be it on your own head ... It may or may not work, worst thing it CAN do is kill your MB. ;)

No problem ... I would hate to see that lovely board recked. ;)

Same one I'm after myself. :thumb:

MSI Reminds You...
Both power connectors, JPWR1 (24 Pin) & JPWR2 (4 Pin, for CPU Power ) must be attached to this model to ensure operation of the Mainboard.
• A Power Supply of 450 watts, or above, is highly recommended for system stability.
• ATX 12V power connection should be 18A or greater.
• For this model, you must use a Power Supply which has a -5V pin supply.

;)
