Hey,

I am building my first computer, and am wandering how to put two CD Drives in, as i think the MoBo only has one CD Audio socket...

Does the seccond one need to be plugged into the motherboards audio in for me to be able to get sound out of it?

Thanks,

KGB

You don't even need that audio lead really - almost all systems use digital playback to get the sound anyway. Just plug it into the main drive, and ignore the other one - it will be fine :)

Ian is correct ... you do NOT need any 'cable' as they will use the ribbon cable ... but do yourself a favour, get an 80wire ribbon cable for them. If either of them can work at UDMA mode, then they will.

;)

Oh, and you'll have no problem if you connect them, one master one slave, on Secondary IDE.

My mobo actually has two mobo audio headers, but i never used them yet.
And I use my pc for all of my media neeeds in my room, so you should have no troubles.
