2 audio files in 1 presentation

Hi,
I've got 2 presentations, both with music (MP3) playing from the first until
the last slide. One is made with PPT 2000, the other one with PPT 2002. Now
both presentations should be combined to run one after another, in a loop,
both with their own music.
So I pasted one after the other (in PPT 2002), but when checking the sound
there's a problem. In PPT 2000 you could select the "Continue Slide Show"
option, but that feature isn't available in PPT 2002 anymore.
I followed the advice on http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00047.htm and
set both audio files to stop after 137 slides (the total number in the
combined presentation) but only the first song starts, when the second part
of my presentation begins, the accompagning music doesn't. Because only 43
slides already passed and the first song has but to stop after 137? I don't
have a clue!!

How can I make both MP3's play after eachother? Last year I had no problems
with the same task, but that was in PPT 2000, now I don't have that on my pc
at work anymore (I'm not the boss, unfortunately!).
Is there a workaround or will I have to reinstall PPT 2000 ?
Please help me?

Thank you in advance!

If you want to access the "continue slide show" option, here is a tip from
John Langhans:

In PowerPoint 2002 go to Tools > Options > Edit and disable "new animation
effects" (at the bottom of the dialog). Then make your setting in Custom
Animations. Save the presentation. Return to Tools > Options > Edit and
re-enable the new animation effects. In other words you just temporarily
disable the new animations so that you can get to the options that were
available in PowerPoint 2000.

Thank you so much, Sonia! And John of course :)
I knew I could count on you, it works like a charm!
