2.0 Masterpage events before OnLoad?

how can I set events other than Page_OnLoad for masterpage in 2.0? Because I
need to have some code being run before the content page OnLoad event is
run...

hmm, well if I used a user control instead? Since it's not actually
neccesary to have this code in the masterpage

actually... until now I've only found one way to run code before content
page's OnLoad - using global.aspx but it's no good because it only runs on
session_onstart!
