I have two computers in inhouse LAN.
Now I want to access a shared folder on the remote machine (name=comp7, IP=192.168.1.23)
When I go now in WinExplorer to
"My network places"->"Entire Network"->"Microsoft Windows Network"->Workgroup
NO remote computer is visible (not to mention the possible shared folders!)
However when I type in WinExplorers adress line: \\192.168.1.23\myshare
everything works fine. A popup appears asking for login name and password.
So what's wrong ? Yes, I enabled NetBIOS in my local IP properties.
And yes, I allowed in firewall all port traffic for ports 137,138,139 in inhouse Lan
What else prevents a listing of all available shares of the remote computer ?
