17 to 22 hours

Hi All,

I read that the AutoUpdate client will check-in with the SUS Server every 17
to 22 hours to determine if any approved updates are required for
installation on the client. Do users have to leave their machines on all
the time or is the pull time randomized everyday? Is it possible for a
client to miss the pull if it's only on for 4-8 hours a day.

Hi All,

I found the asnswer to my questions. Yes they could miss the pull time.
But you will notice that the Last wait time out value has a date in it. If
a client misses the last poll time, it will go to the server within 10
minutes and download updates after starting up. This is the whole idea
behind forcing an update.
