Hi There,

I have Asus P4P800-E-DX with 160G HDD. After installed
Windows 2000, the OS only reads the HDD as 130G. I have
updated the BIOS and it didn't help. any thoughts?

Thank you in advance.

Have you seen the MS Knowledge Base Article 305098 "48 bit LBA Support"?

I have a feeling that even if you are on SP4 you will need this, but
others may be able to comment.

You have to do two things:
1. Install SP3 or SP4.
2. Create EnableBigLba name in the registry and set it to 1 as
describe in Knowledge Base Article 305098.
Then run Disk Management. If you created one 130G partition during the
installation process, there should be about 20GB of unallocated space
on the drive that can be used to create another partition.
