16 bit windows subsystem

Derek Grant

I have just started to get an error message when I
attempt to run certain CDs as follows:-
Headed 16 Bit windows subsystem
C:\windows\system 32\ autoexec.NT. The system file is not
suitable for running MS-DOS and microsoft windows
application. Choose close to terminate the application.

These CDs have been working perfectly up until now.
Anybody got any clues.

Why it happens Idunno, but I copy the autoexec.nt file back into the
system32 dir and set it to READONLY!! it won't give you any problems
anymore!!
