16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem

Hi everyone,
I'm hoping someone can help me with a little problem i'm
having....
While double clikcking the .exe icon for 'clonecd'
and 'bootit' programs i am gettin a window coming up the
message:
16 Bit MS-DOS Subsystem
C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt
'The system file is not suitable for running Ms-Dos and
Microsoft Windows applications'

I have installed these programs before on a winXP Pro
system with no problems...but now all of a sudden i get
this message and am a bit stumped.
Can anyone help me find out what the problem is?
