14cm case fans

In the States it is cheap and easy to get a 140mm case fan. Here in England
it is virtually IMPOSSIBLE.
Ah - can anyone prove me wrong???

So far, I've only seen one readily available product in a few quick
searches. 140mm is not a typical size for a case fan, which is why
it isn't more common. For example, if I go here, you won't find
any quality 140mm fans listed at all. NMB makes an AC powered fan
of 140mm size, but it is strong enough to "hoover" your carpets.

So while you may get your hands on that 140mm, I don't know how
long it would last. The one I saw was only 20mm thick, which is
pretty thin for a fan that size.

Maybe this site is near you:

The U.S. does NOT stock 140mm case fans. 120mm, yes.

OK Dave, Google 14cm fan and see what I got. Then Google 140mm fan and see
what I got. Then Google 140mm fan UK and see what I got.

Thanks Paul,
I've ordered the 14cm from leftclicks, wonder if it's any good:)
Thanks.

As they say, time will tell.

I'm actually surprised that some of the cheap fans I've bought are
still working.

The worst ones in my limited experience, are the 40mm ones inside
some disk enclosures I've bought. They were so bad, I started replacing
them before even trying the enclosure. Fortunately, I have a very nice
electronics store (not Radio Shack) that stocks fans. I get replacement
40mm ones there. This is the biggest fan they stock, and I have one
of these on my current computer. I run it at reduced voltage.
And you don't run one of these off a fan header (1 amp plus
current draw).

Thanks, but too late. If the one ordered is no good I'll give the Zaward one
a try. Funny I couldn't find that googling???

Try taking your head out of your arse.
