I have a Lucent Modem, XP Professional, recent install; I
have gotten all the "updates" available; most of the time
when I go online either with Outlook Express or Explorer
the CPU usage goes to 100% and stays there until I
disconnect the dialup connection. I think it is caused by
a hotfix or an update. If I merely connect to my ISP
without opening an application, there is no problem. Any
ideas?
