10,000 rpm HD

Any experiences to share re 10k rpm HD's?
Are they worth the investment difference over 7,200rpm?
Does speed noticeably?
Any caveats?

They are very noticably faster if you need the hard drive speed. The only
non-scsi ones right now are from WD, and only the 36gb seems to be
shipping. I built a database server for a local company using them, and
they are fast. You can get faster 10k scsi drives, but then you need the
controller, which limits the places where they are useful. For most work
stations and home PCs they are probably overkill, but they are faster than
any of the 7200s.
