1 NIC, 2 Networks

I have a PC that needs to be used on two different networks, but not
simultaneously. I would like to boot the PC to each of the networks using
Hardware Profiles, but have not figured out how to accomplish setting the
network configuration without affecting the other Hardware Profile. Is there
a way to accomplish selecting the appropriate network settings with User
Permissions?

Assuming you are talking only about TCP/IP settings and not workgroup/domain
membership, etc.:

1. Hardware profiles will not help you if there is only one NIC.

2. Two NICs would work.

3. A one NIC solution could be accomplished with a batch file using the
netsh command - this could be implemented through user based login scripts.

Try Netswitcher.  It works great and allows multiple network configurations to be saved and loaded when needed.

I have this same problem with using my laptop at home and
in the office. I have found articles that deal with
saving the router and IP address information and restoring
this. That command is netsh which is included in windows
2000. I haven't found any information on configuring the
Network ID information for two different networks. Have
you found any information on how to do this?
