1.0 > 2.0 website problems

Hi, Im having a hard time converting my old web project to a web site in asp
..net 2.0

Right now the problem is that XslCompiledTransform isn't producing the same
result as previously...

First of all, it seems that any empty elements such as <div
style="..."></div> or similar completely halts the transformation.

Secondly, it seems that <html><body> etc tags are ignored? Previously I had
my .xsl file producing the entire page including the basic html-elements and
just transformed this to Response.Output ... but this isnt working anymore
.... suggestions ???
