!0000

Hi group,
I am advised that if I add a new contact to my address book using only
!0000 in the first name box and in the display box and nothing else that it
will block any attempts by a virus or worm to replicate itself to names in
my address book.
Apparently when the virus finds the address book it first finds the !0000
and it confuses it and it stops.

Can anyone confirm that this is the case.

For this to work without fail, you must also insert 14 pigeon feathers up your
butt.

This thing has changed quite a bit over time. In this version
you are only affecting the *name* and the *display name*
which has absolutely nothing to do with the addresses that
a worm would harvest from the address book.

...next they'll be saying to change the computername in the
registry to !0000 to keep out all malware.
