zipping files

Hello,

I recently needed to copy a large file (2MB+) to another PC. I created a
compressed (zip) folder, copied the file into it (which reduced the size to
500kB) then put it on a floppy disc.

However, the 2nd computer could not find the zip folder on the floppy. Is
this because the 2nd PC runs Win98 rather than XP? The 2nd PC does have
winzip so I had assumed I could unzip the file OK.

All advice welcome.

Did you see if the computer with xp could find the zip folder after you loaded it on the floppy?

Yes, the file & folder were both there on my own PC.
