Somewhere along the way, probably after installing
Windows XP HE, SP1, I have lost the capability of zipping
and unzipping files. I even do not have an option to
create a compressed folder when right clicking desktop
and left clicking on "New". Is there a fix? Thanks for
someone helping.

Hi Jim,

To restore the default behavior, go to Start/Run and type in:
regsvr32 zipfldr.dll
