To any expert on the field of excel 2003:
I have a range of cells with number values however some number start with a
zero .
HOW DO I MAKE THAT ZERO COUNT AS A NUMBER WITHOUT USING AN APOSTROPHE IN
FRONT OF IT, SUCH THAT WHEN I ENTER THE NUMBER IN THE CELL THE ZERO WILL NOT
DISAPEAR WHEN I HIT THE ENTER KEY.
I AM AWARE THAT I CAN USE AN APOSTROPHE IN FRONT OF THE ZERO, HOWEVER I
CANNOT USE A FUNCTION WITH THE APOSTROPHE IN FRONT OF THE RANGE THAT HAS A
ZERO BECAUSE THIS CELL WOULD BE FORMATTED AND IT WILL NOT WORK. EXAMPLE: I
TYPE IN A2: 0436 WHEN I HIT ENTER IT BECOMES 436, HOWEVER i NEED THAT ZERO
INFRONT OF THE NUMBER FOR id PURPOSE.
