How do i shut off the audio "You've got mail" announcement that automatically
plays every time I get a new e-mail? It's distracting and annoying.

The first step is to figure out what application is doing it. It's not
Outlook unless you changed the mail notification sound.

Go into your Control Panel's Sound applet and change the sound you've chosen
for mail notification.
