Hi, please someone help. Firstly I am not technically minded so if someone
does answer, please make it so I can understand the answer.
I am in the UK, on windows home xp and my isp is Aol. I have had the pc up
and running for the last 10 months without much of a hitch and then all of a
sudden I get connection problems. After about 5 mins of being on line, a pair
of pc screens appear in the bottom right hand of the task bar flashing at me
telling me that "Local Area Connection 2" "A network cable is unplugged" So
now let me tell you what i have tried.
1 When these screens appeared, I did a right click on them and an option
came up 'Repair" Wey hey I thought and promptly clicked on it.
After 30 seconds or so it said "Windows could not finish repairing the
problem because the following action could not be completed..........Renewing
your IP address" It then suggests contacting the person who manages your
network. Who exactly is that?
I have been in touch with Aol and to be honest i might as well talk to my 3
year old son.
Every 5-10 minutes my aol says that my service has been interrupted and it
reconnects me.
sorry to have gone on...I pray someone can help me.
