yesterday, I wrote the truth about what happened to my computer due to MS's
poor quality control with Patch 15. The moderator deleted it. I had to
reinstall windows because the new patch made it so it would blue screen
before the desktop would show....nice. From now on, I am turning the auto
updates off....completely. I will let other people beta test Ms's software,
since micrsoft won't do it. Nice job Redmond....good luck with Vista!!!

Did you curse? That will get a post pulled from microsoft's server.

Did you try starting in Safe Mode? Did you try a repair install?

Actually, MS needs to depend more on skill than luck. It would seem MS
didn't test this patch with common home and small business setups. HP's
Share-To-Web software is quite common with HP hardware, and many small
businesses never update their videos drivers, so many of them use older
nVidia drivers that had problems with the MS06-15 patch.

MS should be held financially responsible for the muck up, but, as
usual, MS has passed the buck down the line to individuals and small
businesses to fix MicroMuckUps!

I feel your pain but as far as I know there is no way for your message to
be removed or would be removed for such an open and well discussed topic.
Try to use Google to find it and maybe you might find some responses.

Good Luck

Do a search of any of my posts in March on MS's server, and compare it
to what is on the Google archive. Big difference.

MS has the ability to remove ANY post from its servers.

What name or what title did you use?
I bet it's still there.

BTW, using ME as your newsgroup alias, that's really clever. I have never
seen anyone do that before.

I found several messages:

Which message is the one you're referring to?

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be
the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than
under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may
sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those
who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do
so with the approval of their own conscience. C.S. Lewis

None of those. Its not there anymore.

What moderator? No such person

Microsoft can filter it from their servers, but they cannot delete it
from the whole of usenet. I've had one post filtered for the use of a
naughty word, but I found it on google and on my normal usenet server.
So I reposted it without the naughty word, and it was not filtered.

Judicious use of asterisks and other symbols seems to be the best choice
when emoting in public.

Actually, there is someone posting under the alias of "Moderator."

And of course you have little ole me, your self-anointed moderator! :)

As for a person or persons working for MS that pull posts, MS doesn't
call them moderators, but they do exist, and pull posts, maintain and
add to filters . . . .

Funny that....I never swore once in my posts, but I did use the phrase:
'class action lawsuit' quite a few times. That last sentence probably is the
death-knell for this thread as well. *sigh

There are several posts that use that term and one who used it in the From:
area and they didn't get pulled.

You simply don't know how to use the clunky web newsreader.

Actually, me, did you forget that you used the name 'Class Action Lawsuit'
and not 'me' in your posts yesterday? Or is it just that you can't find them
because you are using the CDO interface; or both? I can see them.and if you
were using a newsreader or if you searched Google Groups you could see them
also.

The 'Tick' has been pulled too - you are in bad company. ;-)

I found two posts from "CLASSACTIONLAWSUIT" entitled "New Patch
Destroyed my Windows," both on the Microsoft server.

No censorship there.
