I support a local companies small network, but am only onsite 5 hours a
week.

The last 2 mornings they have called me because they have had a problem
because the server clock has changed - the year has gone back to 2001. All
other parts of the date/time are correct. A reset has solved the problem on
both days.

We are running Exchange on this server, and protection is via Symantec
Internet Security. The backup is completed via Windows Backup.

I am currently doing a full virus scan using TrendMicro's standalone
scanner.

Anyone got any other ideas why this might have started happening.

Bad battery?

Do you have SNTP enabled? Is the server syncing with NIST or your domain
controller? I would think that would prevent this if the problem is a bad
battery.
