Yahoo messenger hangs when you try to start webcam

Yahoo Messenger 5.0 , 5.5 , 5.6 hangs when you try to
start the webcam. This only started when i updated to SP
1 and all the hot fixes . The webcam is an Intel CS 430
and i am using a ATI Radieon AIW.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
