Both spybot and Ad-Aware will remove this and spyware blaster will prevent
it from installing in the future. If by some chance they cannot remove it here
are manual instructions.

Use Adware by Lavasoft. They're the best and totally free. Some of those
spyware removers are spyware themselves.

Map,
Thx for the help, but I don't have a problem with
removing the xxx-toolbar virus per say. Spybot has alredy
taken care of it. The problem lies in the removal from my
list of add/remove (under control panel) This isn't a
major problem, just an annoyance why it won't go away from
there when I click it to be removed. Most programs will
uninstall but this one remains.Wonder if there is a way
through the reg. to manually get rid of it off the list.
Thx

Apart from the registry possibility, you can try undoing the changes of
Spybot and removing the bar from add/remove then. Some programs have to be
restored/reinstalled before being definitely removed .

Report what happened :-)

Luck

Go to MVP Kelly Theriot's excellent site here:

http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_abc.htm

Look under "A" for "Add/Remove" and scroll down to where your particular
issue is addressed.
