Hi Alex,

1) Install, update, and run AdawareSE from www.lavasoft.de

2) Install and run Spybot from www.safer-networking.org

3) Install and run Spyware Blaster from
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

4) Turn on the native firewall or install a third-party one (a third party
firewall will notify you of outgoing traffic as spyware programs "phone
home", the native one won't).

Alex,

Go into your control panel and into add/remove programs and look for
anything suspicious or that may have the name xxx dialer or anything
similar. If you see anything there hilte it and click on remove to get rid of
it...These things can be dangerous and if they get used and do dial in it is
usually to some obscure country overseas that they dial to and this will
cause you a very EXPENSIVE phone bill which your ISP will NOT be responsible
for.

Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Brian

Hi Alex,

It might be that you're just seeing the programs being looked for in
your computer, not that they're being found there. Spybot, or at least
one of the others, runs a list along the bottom of the window of things
the program is trying to find.
