What is it?

I have a laptop with WindowsXP Professional preloaded on it. When I shut
the laptop down (using the turn off computer command via the start menu)
I get a window that says there's an error shutting down Xprt Message Window

This is not part of Windows. You have some program that is still running
in the background that is refusing to exit gracefully. Do you have an
instant messenger still running? You need to determine this by doing
some shutdown troubleshooting. Here's an excellent place to start:
