Heidi Linda eMVP

I hate to have to do this, but it seems that at the moment I can't even
get a call centre job, and the job centre (and for that matter my
mother) seem to be of the opinion I'm just not trying. I've been told to
ask in online forums. So, if anyone has a job for an XPe MVP, or just
needs a build or a component or something, please drop me a line.
I have the tools here so I can work from home.
I will also quite happily do just about any other sort of job I'm
qualified for, so long as I can get to it without the travel costing me
enough that it's not worth it.
On the other hand, if anyone needs a corset, costume, custom embroidered
garment or evening dress, I can do that too. :)

I can´t believe YOU are on the dole. I mean, I read dozens of your
(most of the time) qualified answers in this forum. And now you don´t
even have a job?!? I know this is always a bad topic and I shouldn´t
ask, but how´s that gonna happen?

Best regards & thousand wishes for a good job
Roberto

Well if there are companies in the UK using XPe, they're not looking on
the sites where my CV is, I've not seen a single ad for an XPe person.
*shrug*

I know how you feel, in Serbia & Montenegro beside our company I have a
strong feeling that there is no other company in whole country that is using
XPe :-(

Hope you will find something in your area.

Good luck,
Slobodan

Thanks, I did see that, but I don't speak german, and there's an MVP in
germany that Slobodan mentioned. :)

Well I do a lot of business with the Germans and though I speak German we
usually talk in English (they speak English better than me:-) ) I didn't see
the MVP Doug had put up, but the MVP maybe busy or not able to do it, as you
are developing you might not have to be in Germany all the time as you can
do it at home, and one thing I have learnt in my years as a business owner,
it doesn't hurt to throw in your C.V. even if you think it might be a lost
cause as they may have more work or feel you are better suited for them or
know someone else looking for work. Also contact Hans deVries at Acropolis
in the Netherlands, they are my partner in Thin Clients, they are now
selling an XPe thin client, tell them who you are and see if they need some
designing of images done for them. Work the custom images angle as that we
are doing and it works well. They do have some MS people on staff but
believe me they could use all the help they need. Their number is
31-76-578-0808 and you can mention them my name (not sure how much good that
will be :-) ).

Cheers and Good Luck.

I absolutely agree with the statement.
Other people usually don't know who you are unless you worked with them. Sometimes you don't know what you are capable of either.

Heidi
Hi did you say you were based in the UK ?, I am currently working on some XPe stuff at the moment and to be honest its a bit out of my field, I think I will be ok this time but my company may need to sub contract you sometime in the near future for XPe work as we dont really have anybody qualified to carry out this kind of work

If you are interested just email me your contact details t

The UK network for XPe is in total disarray, I have just wasted 2 weeks
of my life trying to organise our companies product switch from NT/NTe
to XPe, and most of the UK companies we dealt with were a waste of
space, ranging from not knowing anything about XPe, to feeding me
misleading info. We ended up buying the TD, Licence, and Runtime
Licences from our PC supplier in the Netherlands, as we got SOME sense
out of them,,,, This newsgroup has been a total godsend... :-)

Hello Heidi,

You should try shifting to Outlook Express.

That's really cruddy, a app that has had no attention (aside from
security patches) since 1998...

There seems to a a really big lack of DECENT newsreader software. I use
Mozilla Thunderbird, it's far from perfect, but it's cross platform, and
it's getting better...
