XP2/ Encryption

I now notice that whenever I create a new Word doc or
folder the encryption is activated. In XP SP1 this did not
happen.

This is causing massive over reacting with the users in my
environment.

With SP2, is there a way to turn this encryption off so
that my users do not have to manually unencrypt it?

This isn't normal, and its not a feature of SP2. Have a look at the
*parent folder* of whatever folder you are noticing this in (if its
happening absolutely everywhere, you may need to check the root of the
drive.) Make sure that the encryption isn't selected here. If it is,
anything you create underneath it with inherit the setting and be encrypted.
