Right click on My Computer/Properties. Or Start/Run/ type "winver",
without the quotes, and press Enter.

There are several ways. Here's what I think is the easiest: Hold down the
Windows key, and press Pause/Break.

R-click My Computer, pick Properties. Or hit Winkey+Pause/Break.
