i was going to install xp on a second partition, but
aborted, now upon startup i have to choose between me and
xp , hoiw can i get back to normal start up

edit the boot.ini file and remove the entry for xp

Click Start, Run and enter C:\Boot.ini Remove the reference to the second
installation. If you're unsure of what to remove post the contents here
with a description of how your hard drives are set up.

Presuming you want to boot the ME, boot its startup floppy and give SYS
C: to restore a ME boot
