Just in the last couple of days, all the WinXP workstations are intermitently
having the DNS server numbers removed and replaced with 192.168.1.1. If a
Repair is done everything is fine for awhile. The machines are getting thier
TCP settings from a Win2K Server running DHCP. Suddenly without warning some
XP machines cannot find websites, checking the NIC's settings it shows only
192.168.1.1 for the DNS server... everything else is OK. The DHCP server is
actually supplying five servers, none of them being that IP. Doing a Repair
brings them back. My guess is it's some virus but I've yet to track down one
that causes it.
