I am trying to move a user from an XP Workgroup to 2003 Domain. How to
you get all the settings (My Documents, Desktop layout, menu items,
etc.) to be the same on both after joining the domain? TIA!

Thanks but I was really looking for more of an *automated* way to move
the settings when a user goes from a workgroup to a domain.

There is a MOVEUSER resource kit utility that could be used as part of the
migration process. (Any chance you are using Small Business Server? There
is a tool based on MOVEUSER provided with SBS.)

SBS 2003 should include a utility called SBSMIG.EXE which eventually calls
the MOVEUSER.EXE resource kit utility. I haven't personally used
SBSMIG.EXE, but you may want to check the SBS documentation for information
about this client migration utility.
