I have Windows xp on a Compaq Presario 6000 and it won't
run a disk that I got from UCSF Medical Center that
contains an MRI report. The disk runs on other computers
and even works in Windows 95. Can anyone help with this
problem?
thank you

Hi - Don't put your email address in Usenet or messageboard postings. It
will get harvested by spambots and you'll get tons of spam. It is
possible that the disk is a cd-rw created in a packet-writing program
like Nero's InCD or Roxio's DirectCD. If you don't have this type of
software on your system, you won't be able to read the disk. Another
possibility is that you don't have whatever program you are using to
open the report installed on your XP box. Since you can read the disk
in other computers, if possibility A sounds like it fits your
circumstances, copy off the data and burn it onto a regular cd-r.
Otherwise, please do post back with a bit more information, such as
what program you are opening the report with.

Cheers,

Malke
