Hi
We have a small LAN, made up 12 computers, they ahve been set up as workgroup
Now, I can see & connect to all of my mapped network drive, but I can not
brwose the network anymore, & getting this message "Not Permissionn...."
Every thing must have been fine up to a few months ago, because I used
Network brwosing to map these newtwork drives.

Matt

first, just remind that the workgroup supports 10 connections only.

you may need to create the username and password on the remote computer to access it.

Check for misconfigured / overlooked firewalls, and for registry setting
restrictanonymous.

If no help yet, provide "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from the problem
computer, and from at least 2 properly working computers. Read this article,
and linked articles, and follow instructions precisely:

We could browse network neghborhood on all our computers up to a few months ago, I think the only thing that has chnaged is installing all these new security paches as windows update, other than these updates nothing else has happened .

Thanks
Matt
