I recently reinstalled XP on my machine and at first
everything seems like it was working and I was
reinstalling all of my applications. Well, I took the CD
out of my CD-ROM drive and rebooted and I got a system
boot error. It seems I can only boot from the CD. I
just ran a repair on the OS, but the same thing
happened. I'm in tech support and so I install XP at my
office all the time, but I have never had this problem.
I have a custom built machine with about a 2-year old
motherboard and AMD processor, 512Meg of RAM and a 6-
month old Western Digital Hard Drive. Does anyone have
any suggestions?
