I have installed XP on my machine, but it will not bot up. It reaches a
certain point and freezes. I can get into safe mode, but can find no
indication on why it will not boot properly.

My computer specs are:

AMD Duron 1000MHz processor on GA-7ZXE Via KT133A motherboard
128 MB RAM
10 Gig HD
S3 Savage 4 AGP VGA card
Motorola SM56 internal modem
Realtek RTL 8139 network card

Any suggestions?

Did you run the XP upgrade advisor before you installed XP ? It will find
problem devices that will interfere with the proper running of XP , (like
the Motorola modem) . Jym

I don't recall the requirements, but 125 MG of RAM is rather small for
XP as I recall.

As noted you should have run the compatibility program, did you?
