I have 2 different computers I'm building, and admittedly
I bit off a little more then I can chew. Both computers I
am using Asus A7N8X Deluxe motherboards. I am using SATA
Hard drives, WD in one and Maxtor in the other.

In System A I am using a Promise FastTrak S150TX4 Raid
Card. I wish to run this machine in using a Raid
configuration for performance. This is a Gamming machine.

System B uses a Promise SATA150 TX4. This is not a raid
card.

In both cases I was able to load the Promise software, and
the Hard drives show up when I boot the computers but XP
does not recognize them.

You need to install xp cd,reboot computer, boot to cd,
the text will soon appear,if you need to install raid
or scsi drivers press a key.Install the floppy drivers
then, complete the inst.exit the xp install after they
are in system. If you havent formated yet, continue on
after the install to recovery, press enter if asked for
password,in recovery,type:FORMAT E: /FS:ntfs (E: being
a hd volume),if you need help,type:HELP OR FORMAT /?

They are not being recognized in the BIOS either. Not sure
if thats a problem with the cards or not since they do
show when the computer first boots up.
