XP is so much better than Vista. Why don't Microsoft just scrap the whole
Vista fiasco and stay with XP? IMHO XP is the best OS on the market. Superior
to all others. All replies welcome.

i'm sure microsoft
appreciates your
enthusiasm and advice.

perhaps, the next time
you play bridge with
bill and warren, you
can mention it.

I personally agree that XP trumps Vista, but this is a group for technical
issues, and not a direct line to Microsoft - nor is it a forum for debating
"My OS can beat up your OS." Nobody here is likely to know what Microsoft
has planned, and posts like yours just invite flamewars. Stick to specific
technical questions :)

XP works for many.. Vista works for many.. Windows 7 will work for many..
MacOS doesn't work for quite as many.. Ubuntu even less..

So what? People use what they want to use.. it is not your problem..

First of all, I disagree with you, but that's not why I'm replying. My
point here is that this is a newsgroup for the purpose of providing
help for people with XP problems. Please refrain from posting messages
like that. It's inappropriate here, it wastes bandwidth, and it
accomplishes nothing.

this is a discussion group
that is opened to virtually
all kinds of subject matter,
including spam and debates
such as who owns these
group or regulates its
discussions.

obviously the microsoft
mvp organization and its
awardees have no authority
here.

further, if there are ms mvps
should be regulating themselves
to ensure professional and
unbiased conduct.

No, but it certainly is a problem. When MS discontinues an OS and my
existing peripherals and possibly software won't work with the
replacement it is a problem, regardless of whether stating same is
appropriate or not for this group (and about which I care very little).

Ooooh, a self proclaimed net cop. You don't decide what is appropriate
or what isn't Mr. MVP. This is a GENERAL group, not a XP problems only
group.

With the advent of broadband, wasting bandwidth is a stupid thing to say.

This is a GENERAL group and the MVP after you name does not mean you are
the hall monitor here. If you don't like a post, ignore it.

Duh! Because people won't give Microsoft money for something they already
own.

Peripheral device manufacturers are responsible for supporting their
hardware, and it is THEIR choice whether they continue to support their own
stuff..

It is an XP General group.

You have already shown today to the world that you are not the best at
comprehension. Don't make it any worse..

I'll use your advice towards you, if you don't like dissenting opinons/posts
ignore them.
comments about any other OS than XP do not belong in this newsgroups.

This constantly repeated point is stupid. I care very little about your
mind, which is morassed in illogic. Why in the world would you expect a
software maker spend huge $$$ so that YOU can save money?
