XP Very Slow when Shutting Down

I've unstalled all programs in which I downloaded in the past week to try and
get XP to shutdown faster.(didn't work)It's taking up to 2.5 minutes to shut
down,
tyia for help

1-you must check do you have any spyware on your mashine or viruses.
2-see all the programs that start with windows.
3-after this you can download Microsoft Bootvis to monitor and speed up you
boot times.
4-you can try with some registry tweaks
1)Run regedit and in folowing location modify
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop
AutoEndTasks to value 1 from 0
2)HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
change CacheWriteDelay set 2000
3)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\
Memory Management
ClearPageFileAtShutdown set to 0

You do this at your one risk.
