XP version 2.1 or 5.1?!

I run Windows XP Pro - when I check my Windows Movie Maker version (from the
Help | About menu) it says I have version 5.1.....but when I go to the
Windows Movie Maker web site, it says that the latest version is 2.1. Please
help me understand!

Confusing to be sure but 5.1 is your Windows
Version and your Movie Maker version is 2.1.

To verify your Windows Version...go to...Start / Run...
type... winver.exe and press Enter.

Go back and check Movie Maker's Help -> About dialog. Read it more
carefully this time.
