Does it make a difference to my PC if I first install
98>XP upgrade...vs....XP Full version?

BobDelaney said:Full version?! You likely mean a grey-market OEM version, which is
emphatically *not* a full version. The only version of Windows XP you
need in upgrading from Windows 98 to XP is the Upgrade version.
However, if the computer is old enough to have been running
Windows XP,
it is not necessarily a good candidate for Windows XP.
Unless your system is a P-III or better, with 256 MB of RAM or more,
and has at least 2,000 MB of free space on the hard disk, then don't
upgrade to Windows XP. Leave it as is, and move to Windows XP
whenever you buy a new computer.
