XP upgrad and IE connection

I recently did upgrad my laptop from windows NT 2000 to Win XP. I got few
errors during the procees related to my bluetooth card, now I can not connect
to the internet with IE6 I used wirless card and direct cable network that
are working fine with other computers I have. My laptop doesn't recognize my
cable network.

Go to the laptop mftr.'s tech support site for your specific model
computer and download all the drivers and specialized laptop software
for XP. Install them.

It is Gateway, but I am not able to access the internet from that computer.
Is it possible to use use different computer to do it/

Sure. Just record the laptop model number and serial number. Enter the
serial number at the support site and it will give a link to all the drivers
for that computer. Download the drivers and burn to CD.
