XP Update

Just updated Windows XP with today's updates, now seem to have gremlins in
copying and moving files.

If I use the 'File and Folder Tasks menu' to copy or move a file, the
process hangs and has to be closed by 'Task Manager'. However, using
right-click on the mouse I can still copy and paste files as normal. 'Word'
is also affected...I can now only 'open' word files by double-clicking on the
file name...not by using 'Open' in the word menu.
Is this related to the update? Has anyone else encountered similar problems?

There seems to be a problem with the latest update "KB908531" and your
troubles fit right into what others are having with it,uninstall the update
and wait for a new release.
If the update is not listed in add/remove try a system restore to a point
prior to when you installed it.

I got this update on 13th April but do not see any problem in performance.
Maybe your problem is else where.
