I have even registered but however can not download the file.

So it does not matter.

For you're Easily Disable Microsoft Messenger, it should be called Windows
Messenger, since that is it's name.

As well, I strongly feel you should put in a notice saying that it is not
related to Messenger Service, which causes the notorious messenger spam.

A better solution is to use the add/remove access from the Add/Remove
Windows Components Menu, and to uncheck the "Allow access to this program"
from the Set Program Access and Defaults.

As for you're Uninstall Windows Messenger, I strongly insist that you put a
notice that removing Windows Messenger will prevent the proper operation,
and may completely prevent any operation, of remote assistance, whiteboard,
and application sharing. I feel that a better solution is the one above.
Although in some rare circumstances you may actually want to completely
remove it.

I found this guide very useful, and I'm sure many people will too.

PCyr--

Forgive me for not understanding you. You were able to download it from
*where?* And *how*? And I missed the significance of the ":S" in your post.

From somewhere on Kelly's site? Or were you just recommending Kelly's
great site? Or the original link, and do you mind taking a few seconds to
outline how because most of us are familiar with the formats for download
and weren't able to.

Thanks,

Chad Harris

I found it and was able to download it also. Got to the original page and
click on the button for download, you get taken to a mirror site. Then look
about 1/3 of the way down the page for a box that says "NTFS files - Tweak
files - Lex's XP tweaking guide" (it's big). At the bottom of that box you
will see Download File with HERE in red. Clcik on that and it should come.

That's how I got it.
