XP too good?! Older programs wont work!

Hi

Have you checked the game's web site to see if there is an XP patch
available? Otherwise try the Program Compatibility Wizard - available via
Start>Accessories.

I tried to install one of my older games the other day that I used to
play when we had Win95 and XP just wont recognise it.

Common problem?

Are there any remedies such as a patch or service pack of some kind?

Windows 95 was released at least 10 years ago. And sure,
there are remedies that include (a) upgrade to the WinXP
version of the same game (it might cost some money), or
(b) run the game in compatible mode but there be issues
of compatibility with other peripheral devices.

Yes. One cant assume/expect MS to create their newest OS to be
compatible with EVERY old game or app.
