I am having problems getting my two PCs to see each other using a Linksys
Wireless Access Point Router and USB Adapter. I am almost sure the router
and adapter are talking but nothing else is happening.
I have tried to run the Network Wizard under XP to create the LAN
connections and disk but it keeps blowing off. One time it says the Spool
Applic has caused a failure and another time it tells me it con not do the
operation so do it manually.
Should I go to the devices and delete the NIC and start over - will this
help?
Any suggestions or pointers to a link with help would be appreciated.

Forget the Wizard. Configure each computer's TCP/IP properties to
obtain an IP address automatically. Disable XP's built-in Internet
Connection Firewall.

Steve,
Made great headway with your info. I configured booth computers as you
stated and was able to get them to see each other and share files. Can not
get my printer sharing going yet but this is progress.
I still can not get the 98SE machine upstairs to connect through the XP
machine to the internet. It has to be something minor.
Any suggestions.

Well after some work I have been able to get the two PCs to see each other.
I did notice however this morning that my LAN connection was not working and
had an IP address assignment which I had not placed in there and the dot was
moved to a fixed IP not to find one????
